Responding to COVID-19
/(updated 5/5/2020)
Our Status
We are with you! Be encouraged during this challenging time. We are all in this together, and we will continue to care for each other.
We are complying with requirements. Most of us are working from home.
We are in touch! You can still call us, email us, and interact with us on social media. We can even arrange to video-conference with you if needed.
We are engaging with the community. In May we contributed $2,500 to the new Novato Small Business Relief Fund set up by the Novato Chamber and supported by the City of Novato and other local businesses.
We are still working to serve you. Deadlines have been extended (details below), but we are still on the job, still moving forward with the work that you have entrusted to us. As you are able, please continue to send us any information we have requested using our secure client portal. We will be publishing completed work to your portal for download.

(3/15/2020) - As we all manage through this uncertain and trying time, we want to personally connect with you. On behalf of everyone at Ghirardo CPA, thank you for being a part of our extended family. Your trust and support make it possible for us to impact the community we serve.
We want to share some of the steps we have taken to address concerns arising from Coronavirus (COVID-19) and send our best wishes to those who have been negatively affected to date.
Operational Responses
The health and well-being of our clients, our team, and the community we serve will always be our top priority. Ghirardo CPA was built with a deep commitment to serve people, starting with our own team. To date, we have been fortunate not to have any confirmed cases of COVID-19 among our team. Nevertheless, in an abundance of caution, we are now encouraging team members to work from home if possible, until further notice. As a result, in-person meetings with clients will be generally unavailable during this period. We will continue to be available by phone, email, and optionally videoconference as needed.
We are also encouraging clients to mail in (or upload to the portal) tax documents and other information rather than dropping off at our office. Whenever possible, we will be delivering copies of completed returns and other documents to you electronically.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to adapt to the changing environment. We hope to be able to return to “normal” operations as soon as it is prudent to do so!
