update for our Client Portal users

At Ghirardo CPA, we take security very seriously and will soon make a change that will affect how you will log in to your Portal account.

On April 29, 2018, we will enable multi-factor authentication on all portal accounts. An added layer of protection for your sensitive financial and tax return data, multi-factor authentication will make it much harder for someone to get into your account, even if they had your password. After this date, you will be required to complete one additional step to verify your identify before you can log into your portal from new devices or browsers.

Logging in with 2-Step Verification

The first time you log in from a new device, you’ll need to verify your identity by providing a code. To verify your identity:

1. Select the option to receive the one-time security code via email.

2. Enter the security code in the log in window and click Submit. You can choose to trust your device for 90 days if you want Client Axcess to remember your device.

That’s it! Next, you’ll be taken to your portal.

You may also be prompted to provide your telephone number. The phone number(s) provided will be used to send the one-time passcode via SMS/text message or voice call. We recommend you add your telephone number, if prompted.

You have probably used multi-factor authentication on banking or other web sites you visit, and our solution should be familiar. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
