Gerald Ghirardo Receives Presidential Recognition for Lifetime Achievement

One of our firm’s founding partners, Gerald Ghirardo, was recently presented with the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for lifelong commitment of Volunteer Service.

In a letter, President Trump wrote to Mr. Ghirardo, “You have served as a model of the American spirit. Your many hours of service have strengthened the bonds of cooperation and trust that bring people together, while helping to address some of the greatest challenges of our time.”

Gerald has done volunteer work and/or provided support for numerous local, regional, and national organizations, including Novato Youth Soccer, the Novato Art and Wine Festival, Novato Little League, Marin Pregnancy Clinic, and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. He has served as pastor of Novato’s Lighthouse Christian Church, president of the Rotary Club of Ignacio, and a member of Novato Chamber of Commerce Economic Advisory Committee. Gerald participates in career shadow days with local high schools, and helps distribute Thanksgiving dinners to needy families in his community.

Regarding his reaction to receiving this honor, Gerald simply responded with an affirmation of the helpful and servant-hearted spirit that characterizes the entire team at Ghirardo CPA… “The truth is that we all help out in so many ways. This award could go to any one of us.“
